Lockaway Storage North 281 conducted a garage sale at the end of March, allowing tenants to open up their units to the public to come and treasure hunt. The likelihood of future events like this at North 281 is very high.
“I thought the event was a success!” said District Manager Thomas Nannen. “Some of the shoppers showed up before the booths were set up, but we still had several customers set up tables to display items for sale and buyers stopped by throughout the day. I even saw a couple of customers purchase things from each other’s tables. We plan on doing this again next year and making it an annual event!”
“All in all, for me it was an introduction of things to come!” said manager Geno Anderson. “I would have preferred more of a larger turnout, but these can and will only improve as we go from year to year.”
Already planning two steps ahead, Geno provided a chilling preview of a Halloween themed event for October. “I have already begun letting tenants and many others know about the Halloween setup that we will be having here. An opportunity for children and adults to trick or treat safely here at Lockaway Storage! There will be candy and all empty units will be decorated to present a haunted experience that they won’t soon forget. “
Based on the hard work and care that Geno puts into these events, Thomas is excited about any future events at North 281.
“Geno cooked hot dogs and we had refreshments in the office.” said Thomas. “I had a great time visiting with everyone and getting to know some of our customers. They all seem to love Geno!”
